Children’s of Alabama is developing a major bed tower expansion that will relieve crowding in the current building, help to accommodate projected growth in patient volumes and allow for anticipated medical technology needs and planned consolidation of pediatric services. The 12-story, 722,00-square-foot Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children is programmed to accommodate 248 new private inpatient beds.
